On 4 October 2026 in Minsk, at 196 Nezavisimosti Avenue, the mass karate event for boys and girls Young Samurai 2026 took place. It is a traditional in-club tournament and the first start of the new season for the youngest karateka.
109 young athletes in 37 categories competed on two tatami for three clubs. The organizer is the public association Samurai Children and Youth Sports Club (DYUSK Samurai). The full brackets and the protocol are available on the Tournament Expert portal.
The tournament is designed as the first step onto the tatami for the youngest karateka aged 4-13: their first competition experience, the first rules, the first support of the hall, and the first victory over themselves. For many fighters this start opens the way into kyokushinkai.
The basis of the club approach is upbringing: courtesy, respect for elders, discipline, and the ability to see things through to the end. As the club itself emphasizes, technique and result are not the only thing that matters; the character that is shaped from the first steps on the tatami is just as important.
The Markach Dojo club presents Young Samurai 2026 as the first tournament of the season for young athletes aged 4-13. The club sent 18 karateka and took six podium places; the names of its medalists are in the full protocol below.
The Minsk club Samurai summed up the event: the in-club tournament is over, all of the athletes did great, and the club is proud of them and of their achievements. At the same time the club reminds that its main task is upbringing, courtesy, and respect for elders.
In the calendar of the Iko federation the event is listed as a mass kyokushinkai event for boys and girls (Young Samurai 2026), while the official data, the brackets, and the protocol are on the Tournament Expert portal.
