On March 14-15, 2026, one of the largest Kyokushin events of the year took place in Saint Petersburg, at the “Territory of Sport” sports complex — the Open Kyokushin Championship and Cup. Over two days, 554 fighters from 40 teams took to the tatami: 91 categories, three tatami, with the fights running in parallel.

Tournament technology:

For maximum accuracy, fast result management and transparent judging, the tournament used the modern Tournament Expert software — all information on the progress of the fights and the results was updated in real time. The results and the tournament bracket are available on the Tournament Expert portal.

Behind the scenes of a big success:

Organizing a tournament of this scale is always a bold challenge: 554 participants, 91 categories, two days and three tatami. Only a well-tuned team can keep up with this pace and deliver flawless work.

The answer lies in experience and skill. The Open Kyokushin Championship and Cup took place with the participation of Mikhail Andreev — the most qualified organizer of tournaments: he knows everything that must be planned from a to z. He controls the entries and the whole process of the preparation and the running of the sporting event. He is a referee and the chief secretary of the tournament.

Our team expresses its sincere and deep gratitude for his enormous organizational contribution: thanks to him the secretariat worked like a single clockwork mechanism, turning a large-scale event into a flawless celebration of sport!
